Antique neoclassical wall panel in finely molded composition with a superb glazed frame.

In the form of a large landscape, this handcrafted plaque is decorated in relief with the classical scene of Diana and her nymphs.

This romantic scene depicts Diana, the Roman goddess of the moon and hunting, with her nymphs practicing archery.

It is inspired by the Fountain of the Innocents, a Renaissance work created in Paris by Jean Goujon in 1550.

This piece appears to be marble, with traces of past damage, but well restored.
